CEADs Forum: Co-hosting the Water-Energy-Climate Nexus Cambridge Forum with Applied Energy

The CEADs team, together with the editorial office of Applied Energy, will host an international Cambridge forum on the water-energy-climate theme from September 30 to October 3 in Cambridge and Norwich, United Kingdom. We warmly invite experts, scholars, teachers, and students from China and abroad to attend.

This four-day international forum will be held at Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge, under the theme Energy-Water-Climate Nexus. As climate change becomes increasingly severe and energy and water resources continue to be consumed, research linking energy and water resources has received growing attention from the academic community. Examining the water consumed in energy production and the energy used in water production and supply directly reflects the interaction between water and energy. Because countries and regions differ in their endowments of water and energy resources, the effective and maximized use of these resources is especially important. Efficient use and conservation of energy and water resources can also help mitigate the increasingly serious climate change challenges facing humanity.

Scholars interested in registering for the 2018 Applied Energy International Forum should submit a paper title and abstract by May 15. Accepted papers will be invited for oral or poster presentation at the forum. Due to venue capacity, the forum will invite 30 oral presentations and 20 poster presentations. Outstanding papers from the forum will also be recommended for publication in internationally recognized journals, including Applied Energy.
