2018 Applied Energy International Symposium

Cambridge Applied Energy Symposium Announcement

Energy-Water-Climate Nexus

September 30 to October 3, 2018, Cambridge and Norwich, United Kingdom

The water-energy nexus is becoming increasingly important in climate change mitigation today. Whether it is the energy consumed in water production and supply, or the water used by energy-related sectors, both reflect the interactions between these two resources. Since a city, region, or country may be abundant or scarce in both resources, or may have sufficient water or energy resources while lacking the other, related research aims to provide precise and efficient policy guidance. The resources saved in this process will help alleviate the climate challenges facing humanity today.

The 2018 Applied Energy International Symposium (AEIS2018) will be held from September 30 to October 3, 2018 in Cambridge and Norwich, United Kingdom, including keynote speeches, invited talks, and poster sessions.

Participants are invited to submit titles and abstracts. All papers will be reviewed, and accepted papers will be presented at the symposium in oral or poster form. Selected papers will be recommended by the scientific committee for further consideration for publication in internationally renowned journals such as Applied Energy. Due to room size and catering limitations at Hughes Hall College, Cambridge, we will limit participation to 30 oral presentations and 20 posters.
