Background

Climate change and air pollution are two major challenges facing the world today, and the scientific community is paying increasing attention to the connections and interactions between them. Integrating multidisciplinary expertise in atmospheric science, environmental science, and related fields is essential for addressing these issues and remains a frontier topic in research.

Against this backdrop, the Institute for Carbon Neutrality and the School of Environment at Tsinghua University, together with Nature, will host the Nature Conference on Air Pollution and Climate Change in Beijing on May 22-24, 2024. The event will provide a platform for natural and social scientists, as well as policymakers, to exchange views on the frontiers of research and interdisciplinary work on air pollution and climate change, advance air quality improvement, and accelerate climate action.
