The first China-France Carbon Neutral Summer School and the 2024 China Emission Accounts and Datasets (CEADs) Summer Camp aim to provide a strong platform for learning and exchange among young students in the dual-carbon field. As of May 31, 2024, the organizers had received more than 400 applications from young faculty members, master students, and doctoral students at 151 universities and institutions in China and abroad, including Sciences Po, the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences, Tsinghua University, Peking University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the University of Hong Kong, the University of Chicago, and University College London. The CEADs Summer Camp organizing committee carefully considered applicants institutions, academic backgrounds, and capabilities, and selected participants on a merit basis. While ensuring a close match with the program disciplines, the committee followed the principle of supporting at least one participant from each institution where possible, so as to ensure the professionalism, diversity, and interdisciplinarity of the camp participants.

The Summer Camp organizing committee has completed the participant selection process and issued 153 admission invitations. Applicants who were not selected will not receive further notice. Please check your email in time and complete the participation confirmation form within the specified period according to the email instructions, so that the organizing work for the Summer Camp can proceed smoothly. China-France Carbon Neutrality Outstanding Young Scholar Scholarship

This year, with support from the Administrative Center for Chinas Agenda 21, the Institute for Carbon Neutrality at Tsinghua University, and other organizations, the CEADs team will establish the China-France Carbon Neutrality Outstanding Young Scholar Scholarship to recognize outstanding teams and individuals during the Summer Camp.

The Summer Camp will offer two Outstanding Research Group Scholarships and one Individual Scholarship. The organizers will reimburse travel expenses, including transportation and accommodation, for scholarship recipients. In addition, all participants who perform satisfactorily during the camp will receive a completion certificate.
