Event Introduction
About CEADs
Since the proposal of the carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council have attached great importance to the construction of a carbon accounting system and have called for a unified and standardized framework. To support national carbon emissions statistical accounting and improve the quality of carbon accounting, the China Emission Accounts and Datasets (CEADs) team, with support from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, international cooperation projects and key R&D programs of the Ministry of Science and Technology, UK research councils, and other partners, has brought together nearly one thousand Chinese and international scholars. Through data crowdsourcing, collection, and verification, the team has jointly compiled multi-scale carbon accounting inventories and socioeconomic and trade databases covering China and other developing economies.
Summer Camp Review
Since 2016, CEADs has hosted five carbon accounting summer camps, receiving broad attention and strong support from policymakers, administrators, researchers, and young scholars in China and abroad. Through expert lectures, coursework, and case-based learning, the summer camp provides outstanding young scholars with systematic training in carbon accounting methodologies, practical guidelines, and applied cases, creating an academic platform for exchange, collaboration, and mutual progress in carbon accounting.
