Call for Applications
To further advance the dual-carbon agenda and strengthen young scholars insight and leadership in climate mitigation, the CEADs team has successfully held seven carbon accounting summer schools since 2016. The program has received broad attention and support from government, academia, and young scholars in China and abroad, with its influence continuing to grow.
CEADs remains committed to building the summer school into a demonstrative flagship program that cultivates interdisciplinary talent with both professional competence and practical ability to support the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
This summer, the 8th Summer School will take place as scheduled. It will bring together experts and scholars from China and abroad, build a systematic curriculum, deliver teaching around carbon accounting methods, practical standards, and typical cases, create a high-level academic exchange platform, explore a public-interest talent training model, and support the growth of dual-carbon talent.
Talent is the foundation, and the future is promising. We warmly invite government agencies, universities, and enterprises interested in co-hosting this public-interest summer school and jointly advancing dual-carbon talent training to work with us in building a more open and diverse talent development platform.

Reflections from Previous Participants

2025 SUMMARY
Xu Jinghang, University of Birmingham
As a young scholar, I sincerely appreciate the long-term commitment and dedication of Professor Guan Dabo team at Tsinghua University in the field of carbon accounting. The CEADs team not only continues to build and open high-quality carbon emission datasets, providing a solid data foundation for related research, but also creates a valuable learning and exchange platform for young scholars through its continued summer school program.
Here, we can systematically engage with frontier theories and methods, while also exchanging ideas in depth with peers from different backgrounds and inspiring one another through intellectual interaction. This public-interest platform is especially important for the growth of young scholars. It not only improves our professional abilities, but also strengthens our sense of mission and responsibility in serving the national dual-carbon goals.

Wang Chao, Capital University of Economics and Business
It is a great honor to participate in work related to CEADs. During this period, I had the privilege of attending excellent lectures by several academicians and renowned scholars, gaining deeper understanding of frontier issues and practical methods in carbon accounting, and benefiting greatly from their clear and insightful explanations. At the same time, I met outstanding young scholars and students from different universities and research backgrounds, and we learned from one another through exchange and cooperation.
I sincerely thank Professor Guan Dabo for the careful organization and the working team for their hard work, which provided us with such a high-level and high-quality platform for learning and exchange. Finally, I wish the CEADs Summer School continued success, and hope it will keep bringing together outstanding young talent and cultivating more excellent professionals for the dual-carbon cause.
