CEADs summer school -  Three days countdown to registration!

Part 1 Introduction

Since 2016, CEADs has hosted five carbon accounting summer camps, which have received widespread attention and strong support from decision-makers, managers, researchers, and young scholars both domestically and internationally. The summer camp aims to provide systematic training in carbon accounting methodology, carbon accounting practice guidelines, and case studies for outstanding young scholars through expert lectures, course teaching and so on, in order to build an academic platform for carbon accounting that promotes communication, collaboration, and progress.

The inaugural China-France Carbon Neutrality Summer School in conjunction with the 2024 CEADs Summer Camp are scheduled to be held in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province from July 24th to August 4th, 2024. The activity will revolve around carbon emission accounting, carbon neutrality technology system, and pathways of carbon neutrality transformation in emerging economies. Participants will  conduct group activities to learn the dual carbon transformation and development paths of different countries, regions, and cities, and delve into the socio-economic impacts of climate change. The activity aims to implement the guiding spirit of the dual carbon target strategy, focus on cultivating professionals in the field of carbon reduction with an international perspective, and cultivate and reserve young talents in the dual carbon field for the country.

The organizing committee will fully consider factors such as the applicant's school, professional background to select the best candidates for admission. In principle, it is supported that each institution has at least one representative to participate in the activity, ensuring the professionalism, diversity, and cross disciplinary nature of summer camp participants.
